En 2020 et 2021, Christophe Bailleau a écrit, pendant les différentes vagues de confinement, des courts textes impressionnistes et fragments poétiques qu’il a par la suite regroupés sous le titre « Métal Noir ». A l’automne 2021, il a demandé à son complice Paradise Now (Philippe Franck avec lequel il a créé le projet audio-visuel Pastoral) d’en choisir quelques-uns et de les lire (parfois en les adaptant légèrement pour l’oral). Chacun a alors proposé, pour ce premier EP né de ce projet (un album et un livre suivront en 2022), des musiques électroniques, ambiantes, hybrides…qui font de chaque texte une saynète cinématique pour les oreilles.

Cette production s’inscrit dans l’initiative No Lockdown Sonopoetics (initiée par Transcultures et les Pépinières européennes de Création au printemps 2020) et plus particulièrement sa section « Correspondances confinées » qui suscite, soutient et diffuse des écrits, paroles et traits d’union sonores d’artistes internationaux qui évoquent, chacun à leur manière singulière, les existences et imaginaires en ces temps viraux.

In 2020 and 2021, Christophe Bailleau wrote, during the various lockdown waves, short impressionist texts and poetic fragments which he grouped under the title "Metal Black". In the fall of 2021, he asked his accomplice Paradise Now (Philippe Franck with whom he created the Pastoral audio-visual project) to choose some of them and read them (sometimes adapting them slightly for the oral ). For this EP material grown out from this spontaneous project (an album and a book will follow in 2022), each partner electronic, ambient, hybrid music... which makes each text a cinematic sketch for the ears.

This production is part of the ‘No Lockdown Sonopoetics’ initiative (initiated by Transcultures and the European Pepinieres of Creation in the spring of 2020) and more particularly its "Confined correspondence" section which elicits, supports and disseminates writings, words and sonic hyphens by international artists who evoke, each in their own unique way, existences and imaginations in these viral times.
